Educational Equity:

Dewan Bhadur Padma Rao Mudaliar Degree and PG College for Women is Educational equity means ensuring that every student receives the resources, support, and opportunities tailored to their individual needs to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances. It goes beyond just affordability, accessibility, and attainability by emphasizing fairness and inclusion to help all students achieve their full potential.

Affordability:

DBPM students are first-generation learners from rural and underprivileged backgrounds. They lack technical, communication, and social skills, face financial constraints and have psychological and behavioral adjustments in regard to the rigors of higher education. The institution has designed systems and processes to address these challenges.

Fees and Scholarships:

The institution has continuously adapted to changing requirements and invested in infrastructure with support from the OGA and Exhibition Society. The campus includes well-equipped classrooms, labs, a library, playgrounds, green spaces, and security systems, providing a conducive learning environment.

Competency Building:

The experienced faculty at the institution utilize diverse teaching strategies to engage students actively, fostering a deep understanding of concepts while sparking their curiosity. At the start of the academic year, an orientation program introduces students to the various academic and extracurricular opportunities available on campus, empowering them to make informed choices. Teaching incorporates interactive methods to encourage participation and active learning. Additionally, specialized add-on courses enhance both subject knowledge and career readiness. Students gain practical experience through projects, internships, and field visits to external organizations. Each department marks significant milestones and professional pride days, and students enthusiastically compete in both intra- and inter-collegiate academic events. Beyond the classroom, numerous academic and non-academic clubs create a vibrant informal learning environment that nurtures leadership, organizational skills, and teamwork abilities.

Capacity building:

The college firmly holds that providing students with essential life skills is crucial for effectively overcoming life’s challenges.

Self-Defense:

The college prioritizes students’ physical and mental well-being by organizing activities such as karate, taekwondo, and judo, as well as inviting “SHE Teams”, a division of Telangana Police, to raise awareness about protecting women in public places. The Telangana police mobile app, “Hawk Eye,” was launched from our campus for easy crime reporting. Yoga and meditation classes are held regularly to train students to de-stress, and the students are informed about cybercrimes like fraud and impersonation.

 Cultural Events in College:

DBPM College is situated in the heart of the city. The College serves as a landmark to many organizations around. Secunderabad East Metro Station, Secunderbad Railway Station, TSRTC Bus Stations are all located at very short distance from the College. Apollo Hospital (Secunderabad) is our immediate neighbor.

Another distinctive feature of our college is the huge campus in the vicinity of Keyes High School. Big play grounds  fringed with lush green plantations provide lung space. Once enter the college gates, you are transcended into serene space far from maddening-honking of the busy traffic outside.
