COMPUTER SCIENCE LAB

The Computer Science department was established in the academic year 1993-94 with an initial provision of 10 systems.At present 65 computers systems are there to meet the requirements of MSCs and MSDS

B.Com (Regulars), B.Com (Computer Applications) and B.B.A courses. Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) method is used for Computer maintenance. Protection against voltage fluctuations is ensured through UPS.

Student Engagement and Activities

Students are encouraged to present seminars on computer-related topics, helping them strengthen their subject knowledge and confidence.
Final-year students from B.Com, B.B.A, and B.Sc. undertake academic projects, supported by the Computer Science department.
The department is involved in designing invitation letters and cards for college events, integrating computer skills into broader campus activities.

Infrastructure and Facilities

The lab is equipped with systems connected via LAN and Wi-Fi, providing seamless access to essential software such as the latest Windows OS, MS Office, Dev C++ and C, Java, Tally, Python, R Programming, and Visual Studio.
Continuous maintenance and network upgrades ensure reliable facilities for practical sessions and project-based learning.
Resources for UG practicals, Google Excel sheets, and support for college event IT needs are also available.

Digital Communication and Connectivity

The Computer Science department communicates with students through e-mail, the college website, Google classrooms, and social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
Online classes and Google Forms are utilized for conducting exams, complementing digital communication avenues.
The department supports staff and students in accessing digital platforms for various academic and extracurricular activities.

Academic and Technical Support

Computers with internet access are provided for project work, seminars, presentations, and training programs, ensuring students have modern resources to excel in their courses.
The department offers upskill courses in Power BI, Excel-R, basic computer skills, and add-on programs, supporting knowledge growth and technical proficiency.
Regular training and troubleshooting guidance are offered to both teaching and non-teaching staff, maintaining a collaborative learning environment.
